Coworking Space Spotlight: London

Stefi Hahn, account executive for Yardi, loves checking out different coworking spaces. Every month, Stefi will be visiting spaces across the UK and Ireland, giving us an insight into her experiences with a coworking spotlight.

London is home to hundreds of coworking and office space locations. In this month’s coworking spotlight, I had the pleasure of visiting a number of standout spaces across the city, and here are a few of my favourites.

Each of the spaces I visited has its own unique approach to providing workspace to businesses and individuals.

The Fisheries

Location Visited:

The Fisheries, 1 Mentmore Terrace, London E8 3PN

The Fisheries

The Fisheries boasts a wonderful space near London Fields, with large open spaces, cosy hot desks, phone booths and exquisite design for their long-time members.

The team here focuses on a quality experience for all their members. Some of my highlights include:

  • The rooftop that opens up in the summer: It can often feel dark and stuffy in coworking spaces, but here you have a wonderful open feeling, with plenty of light and, if weather permits – a completely open roof.
  • Weekly Members’ lunch & Monthly Socials for members, as well as Yoga classes: it can often feel isolating to be working alone or working remotely. Therefore, The Fisheries’ efforts in making this a uniquely community-focused environment make it a wonderful place to be part of.
  • The Fisheries offers an event space on site with bar and food options. This lovely event space provides an intimate dining room feel and hosts a wide range of occasions.

Tileyard

Tileyard - London

Location Visited:

Tileyard London, Tileyard Rd, London N7 9AH

Tileyard has been supporting independent businesses and artists for almost 15 years. This is a truly unique location with over 90+ music studios and 75+ offices on site. They are dedicated to building a strong community of artists and work with a large variety of businesses in the film, event, fashion, design and many more industries.

They run their own Podcast (The Secret Source) with Nick Keynes. This podcast gives a peek into what Tileyard is famous for – building a thriving community of unique artists.

The Cafe on-site offers food and drinks and has a unique friendly atmosphere.

And what’s more – Tileyard has a dedicated service that takes you to and from Kings Cross as they’d like to make their space as accessible as possible for members and visitors.

OSiT

Location Visited:

OSiT Liverpool Street Serviced Offices, 46 New Broad Street, London, EC2M 1JH

OSiT - Office Space in Town, London

OSiT (Office Space in Town) has a strong foundation when it comes to its values and ways of working. The teams are committed to innovation, integrity, and providing workspaces where people are able to thrive.

Speaking to the OSiT team makes one thing clear: they are always striving for more and provide high-quality spaces and services to customers in a sustainable manner.

I was lucky to visit their exciting location at New Broad Street – which is Monopoly themed! Its unique meeting room and communal space design is refreshing and creative. I kept thinking during our walkthrough that I’d love to work here.

This location recently expanded into the next-door building, so they have brand new meeting spaces too. One of the new features is their event space, continuing with the Monopoly theme.

OSiT also operates ‘The Deck’ rooftop event venue on the top of their Monument centre, with panoramic views of London.

Keep your eyes peeled for next month’s instalment of Coworking Spotlight, where Stefi will take us through more fantastic spaces!
